WHO WE ARE
BRIGID DIGHTON – DESIGNER/MAKER
A design graduate from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) Brigid has worked as a set and costume designer in Theatre in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. Her film and Television credentials include, periodically and not limited to, Stateless, The Hunting, Upright, Storm Boy, Sweet Country, Cargo, Boys in the Trees, Neighbours, Wolverine and in production design on award winning short films ‘Dream the Life’ and ‘Stay Awake’. After spending some time in Los Angels where she worked in the music industry in management and publicity, Brigid settled back into Adelaide to raise her young children and set up Brick + Mortar Creative Retail Hub in Norwood which she co-created and directed before moving forward in 2016.
Brigid also has a Graduate Diploma in Graphic Design from the University of South Australia.
JOHN HILHORST – DESIGNER/MAKER
A self-taught artist Johnny has a unique ability to visualise the coming together of multiple mediums. He creates beautiful objects and spaces that balance both practicality and form. Twenty plus years commercial experience in large multinational organisations, leading large teams and project management has also given him a breadth of functional knowledge across the application of Human Centred Design and Six Sigma quality methodologies.
Johnny has also recently completed an Executive Education Program with MIT Sloan School of Management in Leading Operational Excellence and continues to study Neuro-Linguistics online. He currently leads a team of highly skilled commercial underwriters for Australia’s largest general insurer. His team assist the Small to Medium Enterprise business sector in protecting their investment in assets, business continuity, liability and more.
Johnny is also a mad keen fisherman and loves eating Blue Cheese……
